Join Juliet Murray, founder of The Craft That Reconnects, a local craftswoman and nature connection facilitator for a monthly wild crafting workshop and sauna experience at Mothecombe Bay. Each month, she will teach a new craft skill, which includes foraging for the materials in the landscape. As well as teaching a craft skill, she will provide foraged nibbles and herbal tea. The session will finish with a sauna, where you can continue to craft or simply relax and enjoy the views.
10th July: Felted bowl with driftwood handle - After foraging on the beach for a handle, we will gather around the fire, heat the water and learn the ancient technique of wet felting using local sheep fleece to craft a beautiful bowl designed and made by you.
Connect with your hands and learn to transform natural materials into beautiful everyday objects in a supportive and friendly environment. All craft abilities are welcome!
Please bring 2 towels, 1 to sit on in the sauna and 1 for afterwards, swim wear and a vessel for water.
Limited to 15 spaces per session.
